In charters towers town of queensland there
are lots of stockmen/rovers...who ride horses
and look after cattle...roving them around the
outback stations.
 
these stockmen are tough men and women.
 
most grew up with horses and cattle.
 
most have been to rodeos, and ride bucking horses
and most have tried to ride the bulls.
 
i admire them

we are in far North queensland town called Townsville.
 
its a sleepy country town...big enough to not know everyone
but small enough to know every street.
 
the beaches arent that safe to swim all year around,
but the beach front area called the Strand is beautiful
 
barbercues by the ocean
fish and chips shops by the ocean
swimming pool
children playgrounds
picnic spots
grass and shady trees
 
its a romantic place
overlooking magnetic island.

went to sea world on the Gold coast yesterday.
 
all the shows : dolphin/seal/skiing/sesame/4D video.
all the rides : roller coaster/boats/swinging ship/train/monorail
 
highlights : sharks ! seals ! dolphin shows !
and the roller coaster was fun.
as well as the swinging ship !
 
the skiing show was fabulous, even though
most fell off.
 
get there early ! before 10 am , and you can
see all the shows first, then line up for the rides
after lunch...oh...dont eat too much
